I still can not believe this. The work of Tetsuya Nomura has fascinated me since I saw Cloud, a pile of lovely polygons at that time, traveling around the world of Final Fantasy VII. I was so young that my brother had to play the video game in my place! But I instantly became a fan, a fantasy lover. That's why this opportunity is SO wonderful, because somehow it has so much to do with my beginnings.

These are the finalists of the contest:

Congratulations to these guys for their amazing works!! It's a big honor to have been selected along with them :) Congratulations also to all the artists who participated because the judging must haven't been easy at all, and I love many of the designs they created for Lightning. There are not "best works" for me but an endless source of pieces made with a huge talent by brilliant artists. Each entry was unique.

Thanks so much to DeviantART, Square Enix and, of course, Tetsuya Nomura. Thank you for your kind comments and congratulations. It may not take long time for writing, but they are really, really appreciated, and I enjoy a lot reading you :) ...I'd invite a cupcake if that was possible!
